Our e-magazine is ready to read!

As you know, we selected ten spesific authors by conducting a survey among our students last month. Our students had fun and learned a lot of things about them. But these authors are milestones for English Literature, one by one. So we thought that preparing noticeboards and making short presentations are not enough to know these extraordinarily talented and creative figures of English Literature. That’s why, we decided to create an e-magazine with the help of our students.

We considered that this activity might be an opportunity to bring students from different schools together and form an interaction between them. We formed 7 teams for 7 teachers. Each team had students who were chosen randomly with web 2.0 tool Keamk and each team had a mission (researching, desingning, forming a quiz, making videos etc.) to fullfill.

Team 6, Cute Stars has finished working on e-magazine pages

Alev Çalımbay Atakul / 50. Yıl Chrysler Secondary School

In February, Team 6, Cute Stars studied on distinguished authors Daniel Defoe and Virginia Woolf. They gathered information and brought them together. We distributed tasks, some of our students gathered information about writers and their works. We had a leader, we had a logo designer. Some of our students made chatterpix videos for these authors. Magic Detectives Team 5

Magic Detectives /Team 5 finished their e magazine pages which are about two important figures in english literature; Agatha Christie and J.K Rowling .My team worked together , searched and deepened their knowledge about these famous authors . 

Team 2/ Literature Lovers are gathering information about William Shakespeare and Charles Dickens

My team, Literature Lovers, read about William Shakespeare and Charles Dickens and gathered information about them. They are preparing their word documents.

As Team 5/ Magic Detectives , our duty for this month was to make some researches about two main authors in english literature ; Agatha Christie and J.K Rowling . My team is searching and gathering information. 

                   We made a survey and chose our best front and back covers  for our e magazine.

Say hello to Team 6. We call our team Cute Stars.

Our team leader is Erva from Maltepe Girls' Religious High School.

We are studying on the two important authors of English Literature, Daniel Defoe and Vriginia Woolf. Each student is studying on a different task about these authors. At the end, we will bring them together and share our knowledge with each other.

We hope, thanks to this collaborative activity, our fund of knowledge about English Literature will increase.

Ioana Ciripoiu/ Podenii Noi Secondary School

My team is called Literature Lovers. They started their researches about the two authors: William Shakespeare and Charles Dickens. Together, we are preparing the pages for the e-magazine. 

The team leader is Zeynep from 50. Yıl Chrysler School/ Turkey. This activity is based on the information we learned in January, so the students will consolidate the knowledge they have acquired and they will create a collaborative product.

My team is doing their researches about the authors for our e magazine pages . They call themselves "Magic Detectives". Our team leader is Andrea from Podeni Noii Secondary School / Romania.We are searching and learning together and deepening our knowledge about the things we learn in previous month.

We joined an event to celebrate e safety day with our students. They used  canva web 2 tool and designed some e safety posters .

Ready for February activities?

All of our students are randomly teamed up for a new activity in February.

This month our students will work together, cooperate and create an e-magazine with the help of mentor teachers. They will consolidate their knowledge of authors they studied in the previous month and learn to design a full magazine.
